Students from Polman Negeri Babel Defeat 328 Participants, Winning Gold in the Chemistry and Biology Category of GEMANESIA 2025
Students at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) are achieving impressive achievements at the national level. This time, Nafisa Silmi Zirconi, a member of the Software Engineering Technology (TRPL) Study Program, won two gold medals at the 2025 Advanced Generation of Indonesia (GEMANESIA) competition.
The prestigious event, which ran from August 14 to October 21, 2025, brought together hundreds of participants from various universities across Indonesia. Nafisa emerged as the best in Chemistry and Biology, two branches of pure science known for their challenging and challenging performances.
In the competition, Nafisa outperformed 103 participants in Chemistry and 225 in Biology. The Polman Babel students' success demonstrates not only their engineering excellence but also their brilliant breakthrough in the world of pure science.
As a supervising lecturer, Tuesday (10/28/2025). M. Syafrizal Zain, S.Kom., M.Kom., expressed his deep pride in his student's achievement. "I and the entire Polman Babel academic community are certainly very proud of Nafisa Silmi Zirconi's extraordinary accomplishment. Winning two gold medals at the same time at a national event is no easy feat," he concluded.
Syafrizal stated that this achievement demonstrates the multidisciplinary capabilities of Polman Babel students from the TRPL study program, who are able to compete in pure science fields such as Chemistry and Biology. This is a truly extraordinary achievement.
"Nafisa's victory is a huge motivation for all Polman Babel students to possess multidisciplinary talents and be able to compete at the highest level, even outside their primary fields of study," he said.
Furthermore, he urged all Polman Babel students to never limit themselves to their study program. Dare to step outside your comfort zone, continue to explore your potential, and don't be afraid to compete. Hard work and the courage to try will surely pay off," he admitted.

Meanwhile, Nafisa Silmi Zirconi expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for continued development. "I want to continue learning and honing my skills so I can develop, not just for the results, but because the learning process itself is invaluable," she said.
Challenges like this teach me to think more critically, be patient, and persevere, so I won't be afraid to try new things.
"Feeling doubt is normal, but don't let it stop you," he added.
He continued, "Focus on the process, not just the end result, and enjoy every opportunity to learn, because that's where experience and confidence are built."
