255 Candidates Vie for University Spots via Polman Negeri Babel's Independent UTBK Admission Track
The organizing committee for the Polman Negeri Babel Independent Admission UTBK read out the code of conduct and implementation rules to the participants before the exam began.
A total of 255 prospective students took the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) for the Independent Admission Track at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel). The exam was held on the second and third floors of the Joint Lecture Building (GKB) on Tuesday (June 21, 2026).
Participants arrived early to take the test—a key stage in the independent admission process—and approached the exam with great seriousness, answering questions in accordance with the rules established by the organizing committee.
Somawardi, M.T., Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Division at Polman Babel, stated that the Independent Track UTBK proceeded smoothly and successfully, ensuring a selection process that upheld integrity and adhered to established regulations.
Somawardi noted that successful candidates are expected to make the most of this opportunity. He urged them to prepare themselves to become high-achieving students, uphold the good name of their alma mater (Polman Babel), and complete their education through to graduation, emphasizing that they should not drop out midway.
Meanwhile, Somawardi advised those who did not pass not to be discouraged, as opportunities to pursue higher education remain open in the coming year, provided they meet the specified requirements and age limits.
"Perhaps it simply wasn't meant to be this year, as there is still a possibility to participate in the selection process again next year, provided one still meets the applicable age limits and requirements," he added.
Meanwhile, Olan Romdhani, S.E., Head of the Academic Sub-division at Polman Negeri Babel, stated that all participants were required to take the exam in an orderly manner and complete the questions independently, while reading and understanding every instruction provided by the committee during the test.
Olan noted that the Independent Admission UTBK (Computer-Based Written Test) marks the beginning of the process to determine which prospective students will study at Polman Babel; he expressed hope that all participants would accept the selection results graciously and remain enthusiastic about pursuing their education through available opportunities," he concluded.
