Actively Sharing Knowledge, Riki Afriansyah Tirelessly Equips Teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Simpang Katis
In an effort to enhance teacher competence in the face of evolving educational technology, a lecturer from the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) served as a resource person for an In-House Training (IHT) session on developing instructional materials for deep learning based on coding and artificial intelligence at SMA Negeri 1 Simpang Katis on Wednesday (September 2, 2026).
Riki Afriansyah, M.T., the lecturer serving as the resource person, stated that the activity provided a platform for teachers to expand their knowledge and improve their skills in designing instructional materials that are relevant to current technological advancements and educational needs.
Riki expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to share his expertise, hoping that the material and knowledge imparted would prove beneficial and support the school in its instructional implementation.
"The teachers' enthusiasm during the training was remarkable, promising a positive impact on the quality of instruction and the students at the school," he remarked.

Meanwhile, the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Simpang Katis, Utami Marwati, S.Pd., noted that the activity aimed to boost teacher competence and equip them to plan effective lessons more proficiently, thereby supporting the achievement of national curriculum goals.
Furthermore, the initiative aims to train teachers in developing various instructional materials—ranging from teaching modules and lesson plans (RPP) to assessment tools—that align with specific learning needs.
"Beyond enhancing teachers' technical skills, the In-House Training (IHT) is expected to strengthen the quality of collaboration among teachers, educational staff, and school management," he stated.
He added that SMA Negeri 1 Simpang Katis is increasingly prioritizing the enhancement of educator competence to ensure adaptability to technological transformation; the implementation of coding-based learning, artificial intelligence, and deep learning approaches can create a learning process that meets students' needs.
