More Than Just a Visit to Polman Negeri Babel: MA Terpadu Bina Insan Cendikia Signs Cooperation Agreement
The Director of the Bangka Belitung State Polytechnic (Polman Negeri Babel) and their team posed for a photo with representatives from Madrasah Aliyah Terpadu Bina Insan Cendikia following the signing of the cooperation agreement.
Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman Babel) hosted a delegation from the Bina Insan Cendikia Integrated Private Islamic Senior High School (Madrasah Aliyah) of West Bangka Regency on Wednesday (August 12, 2026), to sign a cooperation agreement in the field of education.
The visit aimed to strengthen ties between secondary education and vocational higher education; the school delegation was welcomed personally by the Director of Polman Babel, I Made Andik Setiawan, Ph.D., and his staff in the meeting room.
During the meeting, both parties discussed various forms of collaboration that could be developed to support educational programs and provide mutual benefits for both the school and the polytechnic.
Polman Babel Director I Made Andik Setiawan, Ph.D., stated, "We are working together here; as a higher education institution, Polman Babel is happy to assist with the various educational programs required by the school," he explained.
Furthermore, this collaboration serves as a platform for Polman Babel lecturers to fulfill the "Tridharma" (Three Pillars) of Higher Education—comprising education, research, and community service—through activities needed by the school.
"Clearly, the lecturers' Tridharma activities can be channeled through this. Conversely, if the school requires a team of lecturers for specific activities, these can be designed and developed jointly," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bina Insan Cendikia Integrated Private Islamic Senior High School in West Bangka Regency, Ratna Wardani, S.Ag., noted that this was not their first visit to Polman Babel, as the school had previously visited the campus several years ago.
Ratna explained that although the school operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag), they still require collaboration with vocational higher education institutions that possess competence and experience in developing skills-based education, she added.
A relationship between the Bina Insan Cendikia Integrated Private Madrasah Aliyah and Polman Babel has already been established through previous visits by the Polman Babel faculty team, aimed at conducting research and sharing insights and knowledge," he emphasized.
He hopes that the established communication and collaboration will continue to grow through various joint activities that yield positive impacts for both institutions.
Furthermore, the school was impressed by the mementos presented by Polman Babel, which served to strengthen ties, and he expressed hope that the cooperation agreement would remain ongoing and sustainable.
